The zombies are returning! The much anticipated season 3 of The Walking Dead on AMC is set to premiere on October 14th.
In a recent interview, show star Andrew Lincoln hinted that there may be some high profile characters getting killed in Season 3. But the main focus of Season 3 will be a new threat on the human survivors of the zombies – fellow humans will be a new clash for the main characters. According to Lincoln, “That’s what this season is about, really, is that human beings can be far more atrocious to one other and invent incredibly novel and imaginative ways to hurt one another.”
The Walking Dead’s third season will also bring us two new locations. Rick and company will set up shop in a prison (after they clear all the zombies out, needless to say), while Andrea and Michonne will find their way to Woodbury, a town run by a mysterious new leader who calls himself the Governor.

September isn’t normally a month for big ticket movie releases but one of the most promising films on the schedule this year is End of Watch.
Opening in theatres on September 21st, End of Watch is from Training Day screenwriter David Ayer delves once again into the often frightening world of LAPD officers. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pea star as officers battling against an LA drug cartel. For star Gyllenhaal, he states the film required more preparation than any previous role. "You typically hear actors talk about how they went on a couple ride-alongs," he says. "We spent five months doing it, three nights a week. By the end of this movie, Mike and I really believed we were partners. It was hard to have anybody convince us otherwise."
