The much anticipated new season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is coming very soon.
The new season, the show’s second, starts on April 1st. The teaser posters for the first season of Game of Thrones had the tag line “Winter is Coming”; the season 2 posters feature the tag line “War is Coming”. Expect Season 2 posters to be in stock very soon at MovieGoods.

2012 has a very impressive list of movie releases on it. Lots of new movies that will be highly anticipated by the public, as well as some films the studios hope will become new franchises.
The MovieGoods blog will be bringing you lots of 2012 previews in coming weeks but today, we take a look specifically at new superhero movies coming in 2012. The first to hit theatres will be Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, opening on February 17th. Its been 5 years since the first Ghost Rider movie but Nicolas Cage is back for the sequel. The second big superhero release of 2012 comes on May 4th when The Avengers opens worldwide, featuring a star studded cast of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Incredible Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
But the superheroes don’t stop in May – far from it. July brings us both Batman and Spider-Man. Spidey gets a reboot on July 3rd with Andrew Garfield in the lead role, followed by arguably the most anticipated movie of the entire year: The Dark Knight Rises trilogy final installment opens on July 20th.

Another brand new poster image for 2012′s biggest movie The Dark Knight Rises has been released!
Director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale are back for their third and final Batman film. The reported production budget for this movie is a massive $250 M so expect lots of amazing stunts and special effects. Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps though but The Dark Knight Rises takes place 8 years after the last movie.
The new poster image is black and white, similar to the first Dark Knight Rises poster we saw released in 2011. It features Bale walking away in the rain, with his shattered Batman suit behind him. The tag line “The Legend Ends” is featured prominently. Once again, the artwork on this poster is excellent – a must-add collectible for any Dark Knight fan! Welcome to the 2012 Oscar derby! The nominees for the 84th Academy Awards have been announced and the leaders are Hugo with 11 nominations, although many of those are in technical categories. The early Oscar favorite came through as The Artist had 10 big nominations, including most major categories.
Other top nominated films include Moneyball and War Horse with 6 each. Fave actors receiving nominations include George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Glenn Close and another nomination for the all-time leader Meryl Streep. Comic Billy Crystal is set to host the Oscars for the ninth time, taking place on February 26th.

The 2012 Academy Awards race is officially underway. With big wins at The Golden Globe Awards, The Artist and The Descendants have grabbed the early Oscar momentum. The Artist led with 3 total Golden Globe wins, including Best Comedy Picture. The Descendants also won big, for Best Drama Picture, with lead George Clooney taking Best Actor.
