Things are looking good in the television business despite the declined movie attendance Hollywood has seen in 2011 and so far in 2012.
There was several new TV shows that are generating buzz and new viewers. MovieGoods, home to thousands of TV show posters, is happy to announce that many new TV show posters have now been added to our inventory, including many of this season’s new hits!
It was the early favorite for most of the Oscar race and it came through in the end. The Artist was the biggest winner at the 84th Academy Awards, taking home 5 total awards. The Artist was named Best Picture, as well as winning for Best Director to Michel Hazanavicius and Best Actor to Jean Dujardin.
Hugo was the other big winner on Oscar night, taking home 5 total Academy Awards. Hugo was the most nominated film with 11 in total.
Other Oscar winners included Meryl Streep for Best Actress for her role in The Iron Lady. This was Streep’s third Oscar victory. Rango took home Best Animated Film.
The much anticipated new season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is coming very soon.
The new season, the show’s second, starts on April 1st. The teaser posters for the first season of Game of Thrones had the tag line “Winter is Coming”; the season 2 posters feature the tag line “War is Coming”. Expect Season 2 posters to be in stock very soon at MovieGoods.

Another brand new poster image for 2012′s biggest movie The Dark Knight Rises has been released!
Director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale are back for their third and final Batman film. The reported production budget for this movie is a massive $250 M so expect lots of amazing stunts and special effects. Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps though but The Dark Knight Rises takes place 8 years after the last movie.
The new poster image is black and white, similar to the first Dark Knight Rises poster we saw released in 2011. It features Bale walking away in the rain, with his shattered Batman suit behind him. The tag line “The Legend Ends” is featured prominently. Once again, the artwork on this poster is excellent – a must-add collectible for any Dark Knight fan! James Bond, one of the most successful box office franchises in history, returns to the big screen later this year with the new Daniel Craig led film Skyfall. In addition, 2012 marks the 50th Anniversary of James Bond.
To celebrate this movie milestone, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have unveiled BOND 50, a collectible box-set featuring all 22 James Bond films on Blu-ray Disc for the first time in one complete offering. This set includes the debut of 9 James Bond films previously unavailable in high definition Blu-ray. Said Michael Brown, Senior Vice President of MGM Home Entertainment, “We have a whole program of exciting activities planned for our 50th anniversary year, beginning with the release of all 22 films on Blu-ray for the very first time”. Doctor Who is one of TV’s longest running sci-fi series ever. Over on this side of the pond, it has long been a cult fave with fans.
Some interesting Doctor Who news recently surfaced: two episodes from the mid-1960′s that were believed to be lost forever have been rediscovered by the BBC. One episode is from 1965 and the other is from 1967. The rediscovered Doctor Who episodes, found in the collection of a former British television engineer, are planned for release on DVD next year. Exciting news for true Who fanatics!
Is this the start of the next Twilight series? Many in the biz think this is the next big film franchise. The mega-popular book series from Suzanne Collins are becoming movies, starting with The Hunger Games release in March of 2012.
