Bond, James Bond. A very famous movie line that for a long time, looked like it would not again be uttered. Good news for James Bond fans though – a new Bond movie is coming and production is starting right away.
The official title of the new Bond film, and the 23rd in the mega successful franchise, will be titled Skyfall. Daniel Craig is back as 007, with Judi Dench as M. Carig of course played Bond in the last two films: Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. Also cast so far are Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Javier Bardem as the villain. Sony currently has Skyfall scheduled for release on November 9th, 2012.
Sequels are always much hyped movies but this one just might be one of the most anticipated sequels in recent years. The next chapter in The Dark Knight series comes to theatres worldwide on July 12, 2012. The internet has been a-buzz for many months with snippets on the film, and with leaked photos from the production sets in Pittsburgh. We’ve seen photos of Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman suit, as well as some peeks at the new Batmobile. Christian Slater is back of course in the lead role and Christopher Nolan is directing again, although he has stated this will be his last work on the billion dollar film franchise. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Liam Neeson are join the cast. In addition to Catwoman, The Dark Knight Rises will also have the new character Bane in it.
Rumors say that the Catwoman character won’t be a villain in the film but more likely a vigilante similar to Batman, and early reports indicate the plot will be somewhat dark, which isn’t a surprise based on the end of the past film. The first posters and photos are now in stock for The Dark Knight Rises! Expect more to arrive in coming months.

It’s official: Eddie Murphy will be the next host of the Academy Awards. Oscars producer Brett Ratner is trying to bring more comedy to the telecast, so cue Eddie! Ratner released a statement saying “Eddie is a comedic genius, one of the greatest and most influential live performers ever. With his love of movies, history of crafting unforgettable characters and his iconic performances — especially on stage — I know he will bring excitement, spontaneity and tremendous heart to the show Don and I want to produce in February.”
Yes, the star of such infamous Hollywood ‘classics’ The Adventures of Pluto Nash, Norbit, The Nutty Professor, Meet Dave and Dr. Dolittle, will now have the pressure of delivering a memorable funny Oscars telecast in 2012. We welcome this seemingly off-beat hosting choice – time to shake up the much too long, too slow and too boring Academy Awards telecasts.
He made his first big screen appearance in Shrek 2 back in 2004, and now the character of Puss in Boots is getting his own spin-off movie.
Coming to theatres on November 4th, Antonio Banderas provides the lead voice, and he’s joined by co-star voiceovers from Zack Galifianakis and Selma Hayek. The story focuses on the early days of Puss, when he was a wanted criminal after robbing a bank with Humpty Dumpty. Don’t expect any famous green ogres in this movie though – Shrek does not appear in the film.
