Carig of course played Bond in the last two films: Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. Also cast so far are Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Javier Bardem as the villain. Sequels are always much hyped movies but this one just might be one of the most anticipated sequels in recent years. The next chapter in The Dark Knight series comes to theatres worldwide on July 12, 2012. The internet has been a-buzz for many months with snippets on the film, and with leaked photos from the production sets in Pittsburgh. We’ve seen photos of Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman suit, as well as some peeks at the new Batmobile. Christian Slater is back of course in the lead role and Christopher Nolan is directing again, although he has stated this will be his last work on the billion dollar film franchise. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Liam Neeson are join the cast. In addition to Catwoman, The Dark Knight Rises will also have the new character Bane in it.
Rumors say that the Catwoman character won’t be a villain in the film but more likely a vigilante similar to Batman, and early reports indicate the plot will be somewhat dark, which isn’t a surprise based on the end of the past film. The first posters and photos are now in stock for The Dark Knight Rises! Expect more to arrive in coming months.
